Celebrities who Redefined Stupidity with their Statements

Celebrities who redefined stupidity

As much as Bollywood stars preach sanity, the insanity in their statements goes up. From Kareena Kapoor to Sonam Kapoor, from Uday Chopra to Anu Malik, Bollywood celebrities have had quite a history with insanity and senseless statements. In this article, we shall be recalling some fun yet senseless statements made by celebrities in the past.

Kareena Kapoor Khan:

In one of her interviews, Kareena was asked about her dreams and aspirations as a child. Talking about how she always wanted to become an actor and always had a thing for movies, this is what Kareena said, “I realized I wanted to be an actress from the day I was out in the hospital. I think instead of the word mom, I said the word ‘films’.” In another interview, she was talking about some of her finest roles in the movies. She asserted, “I don’t think any actress in the last 10-15 years has essayed such a deep role.” You would be surprised and disturbed at the same time, to know which movie she was referring to. She was talking about her role in the movie, “Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon”, which is counted amongst the most baseless and dumb movies in the history of Bollywood.

Kangana Ranaut:

How can we miss Kangana when it is about irrelevant and baseless statements! Recently, Kangana took to her Twitter page and wrote about the decreasing levels of oxygen in the air. She wrote, “Everybody is building more and more oxygen plants, getting tons and tons of oxygen cylinders, how are we compensating for all the oxygen that we are forcefully drawing from the environment? It seems we learned nothing from our mistakes and catastrophes they cause.” Twitter has suspended her account after her insensitive tweet and the actress has been facing a lot of criticism lately.

Sonam Kapoor:

Sonam Kapoor, the fashion diva of Bollywood, has been known for not recalling her statements before she speaks them. She has proved this again and again with statements like, “Ash has worked with my dad, so I have to call her Aunty, na?” This actress said this when she was asked about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and how she looks up to her.  Recently, the actress took to her Twitter and asked her fans about using “stream iron”. She also asked some irrelevant questions on Twitter which could have been solved using Google search.

Uday Chopra:

As humans, most of us believe in a higher power that rules our world and destiny is something we believe, leads us to our future. We often buy into thoughts and ideas like sun signs or zodiacs, but Uday Chopra, jumped to another level, with his obsession for Zodiac sciences. He asserted, “Your star sign: Capricorn – however I don’t like being a Capricorn – I would prefer to be a Scorpio – I decided to change my birthday from 5th Jan to 5th Nov to be a Scorpio – I just love the traits of being a Scorpio – they can be mean and have a sting.” Uday was being linked to Nargis Fakhri, a few years ago. However, the couple separated after a few years of dating.

Rakhi Sawant:

With her entry into the Big Boss house and the exponential rise in TRP that she provided to the show, Rakhi Sawant is the synonym of TRP. Most stars practice different tactics with the help of their PRs to gain publicity and be in the news. But Rakhi being Rakhi, has always been on another level with her publicity stunt. From getting married on a “Swayamvar” to marrying Deepak Kalal on Instagram, Rakhi has been one of the most unpredictable celebrities in the universe. There was a time, Rakhi was having a word war with Malika Sherawat. Talking about Malika, Rakhi asserted, “Does Sherawat think that she’s such a diva? In the eye of God, all are equal and the same. She shouldn’t have so much of ghamand (pride). If I do, I will go in the gutter.”

Amrita Rao:

An actress who is known for her roles in “Main Hoon Na” and “Vivaah”, Amrita Arora has made certain remarks and statements that have compensated for her roles in the movies and made her unforgettable. In 2005, she was asked about her acting career, where it is headed and her roles, to which she said, “I needed roles where I could express a gamut of emotions. I was fed up with playing bimbo. Watch out for me in 2006. I feel it’s going to be a good year for me.” Her fans were a bit confused about her definition of ‘variety’ and ‘Bimbo’ and the roles she did afterward raised serious questions about her wish to play them. After giving some hit movies together, Amrita Rao was linked to her co-star Shahid Kapoor. Talking about the same, the actress has said, “He was in a relationship when I was his co-star, we weren’t even friends.”

Anu Malik:

The Indian Idol judge and famous Music composer, Anu Malik has been known for being extra enthusiastic on shows. However, once the composer came out quite frankly before the media and said, “When I go abroad, women throw themselves at me. But I’m not into one-night-stands or flings.” Not just was this statement senseless, but also problematic enough, at so many levels. A few years ago, the actor was accused by singer Shweta Pandit of trying to assault her. “He was recording a group song with Sunidhi and Shaan for the film Awara Paagal Deewana, when my mother and I walked into the monitor room. He told me to wait in the small cabin inside where singers sang at Empire Studio. It was just him and me there.” Anu Malik then told Shweta, “I’ll give you this song with Sunidhi and Shaan but first give me a kiss now.”
